Festival Program Note

The schedule explodes into pure motion—snares multiply, chains sing, and the crowd sprints to a rhythm nobody approved. A wild-eyed drummer teaches the field to run free.

Lead Puppet Producer

Philter – Philter only took the helm on this one because everyone else was too busy bracing for impact. Animal doesn’t “sit in” on a session—he detonates it—so Philter decided the only way through was barefoot calm and open ears. Instead of forcing Animal back onto the grid, he treated the chaos like a river: let the trance kick hold steady, let the snares outrun it, and smooth the low end so the room never actually falls apart. The whole concept—chains breaking, grid dissolving—was Philter proving that structure doesn’t have to shackle rhythm; sometimes the kindest thing you can do is loosen the tension and let broken time bloom. When the report reads “system is confused… and happy,” that’s him smiling from the couch, knowing the groove survived because it was allowed to breathe.

Track Dedication

Dedicated to every musician who can’t sit still on the grid—every drummer who rushes the fill because the feeling hits first, every player who leans forward into the moment, every dancer who suddenly realizes their body can move faster than they thought. The ones who treat tempo like a suggestion and energy like the only real clock that matters. This track is for the moments where instinct wins, where the push and pull becomes the point, where the music feels alive because it refuses to behave.

And to the studio musicians on the other side of that coin—the ones asked to do the exact opposite. The ones who lock in so precisely it almost disappears, who play the same part ten times so it feels like it was always meant to be there, who hold the line so everything else can bend around it. You’re the engine that lets chaos exist safely, the quiet precision behind the wild moments. Between the ones who push and the ones who anchor, the groove actually lives—and this track belongs to both of you.

Diagnostics, rhythm locked one-five-oh. Parameters rigid
Warning, anomaly detected, subject, Animal

Five clicks tight on the master line
He breaks the sample every time
The kick is straight, the bass is clean
But there's a snare where it shouldn't be
He cracked the source code with a stick
Turned four-on-the-floor to quick
The grid is biting, teeth are bared
He hits the drums nobody spared

The chain is taut, the tension high
The chaos climbs across the sky
We lose control and give it room
Let broken time begin to bloom
Three, two, trance kick hold

Trance kick holds, the snares get faster
Animal
Supersaw sings, the breakbeat's master
Animal
We stomp the floor with syncopated feet

Chain and clap, we crash and learn
The system smiles, it had to turn

Dr. Honeydew, hold the key
Beaker squeaks a me, me, me
Pitch the chains to D below
Let the double-time just flow
Not on time, he rides the feeling
Broken rhythm turns to healing
Stop him? Count your one-two-three
He throws the sticks in circuitry

Riser screams a jet stream whoosh
We're the primal rhythmic push
Hold your core, don't let it slip
Three, two, Animal

Trance kick holds, the snares go faster
Animal
Supersaw, chip-spark, euphoric caster
Animal
We lock the room, no brakes, just feet

Subject, please return to the grid
No grid, no grid, no grid, no grid, no grid
No grid, no grid, no grid, no grid

No more chains
Trance kick runs with Animal's reins
Animal
Fastest drums you'll ever meet
Puppetcore
We broke the rule for you
No more chains

Rhythm report, one-five-oh
Implied three hundred
System is confused
And happy
